Okrütnik is a Polish metal band founded in May 2018 in Kotlina (Greater Poland). Their style blends old-school heavy metal with influences from the first wave of black metal - a mix often compared to bands like Kat, Venom, or early Running Wild. The band deliberately recreates the grit, darkness, and aesthetics of the 1980s, expressing opposition to modern "polished" sounds.
Okrütnik quickly gained recognition in the local underground scene, with a major breakthrough during a nationwide tour with the legendary Turbo in 2019.
